Why are teachers constantly blamed for the woes in education?

Why does the government form education committees yet put few or even no working classroom teachers on them? 

Why does a person need a teaching credential to teach children but doesn't need one when creating educational policy for those children? 

Do teachers' unions have other ideas to help public education besides asking for more money and smaller class sizes?

Are you a teacher who has an answer for what will help public schools become better but don't know where to take it?

It's time to become part of the solution....
